• Question: What kind of tools do you need to check all crystals ?

      it depends what we want to check the crystals for, but there are lots of machine we use. Mainly I use xray diffraction and this allows us to figure out the structure of the crystal, how the molecules in it are arranged/organized. We might also be interested in how soluble the crystal is or how it reacts to temperature and we have dedicated instruments to measure these properties. There are lots of other machines too, but I dont want to list them all here 🙂
