apparently yes inactive – definitely not when its erupting – so scientists are trying to understand do they know ahead that the volcano is about to erupt and therefore get to safety?

Hi, I didn’t know this but seems like yes which is pretty cool! Some have been seen swimming in volcanoes in the Solomon Islands

There are lots of volcanoes in the oceans and only some are active – and so yes some sea life lives on and around inactive volcanoes.

I have been snorkelling with reef sharks in Hawaii – they don’t live in the caldera, but their homes are on the slopes of the volcano!.
