I’ve only worked in the UK – York mostly. But we collaborate with labs all over the world 🙂

No, because I don’t do experiments. But I have been around the world for conferences, collaborations and so on: America a lot, Europe too (including Russia), Japan …

I’ve collected samples to study the chemistry of the environment in Peru, Greenland and Svalbard (which is a group of islands half way between Norway and the North Pole). All of those places have been really awesome to visit and I do science projects there with other scientists that live there.

Yes – one of the cool things about working as a research scientist is that I get to go to other labs to do experiments (France, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, USA), to collect samples (Italy, Spain, New Zealand, USA, Germany, France, UK, Brazil, Iceland) and to conferences to present my research (all over Europe, USA, Australia). Not made it to Russia, China or Japan yet but who knows

I have been lucky to go to various places for work and to go to conferences: Spain, China, Switzerland, America. Being involved in science is a great way to travel.
