Hi Charlottev, thank you for your question. There has not been a cure discovered or available yet to my knowledge. We are using vaccines to provide people with an immune response that is able to protect those vaccinated from Sars-Cov2 (the causative agent of Covid-19).
Research is also looking at other treatment options for those infected for example, antiviral drugs, to directly affect the virus’s ability to replicate in the body.
Great question as Isabel says – there is no current cure for Covid, just treatments that help people recover. The vaccines are there to protect people and hopefully protect enough people that the virus will eventually die out.
Hi Charlotte, great question 🙂 As Amal and Isabel have said there are drugs which can help treat people with coronavirus and vaccines which will keep people protected.
There’s no real cure, like there isn’t for many diseases. What we do have now are vaccines, which are intended to prevent you from getting it in the first place. But if you do get it, then there are various medicines and treatments that can help you resist it and suffer the symptoms less.
